Abstract
Background: Hypo- and/or hyperpigmentation distributed along the lines of Blaschko is known as cutis tricolor. This disorder is explained by somatic recombination of two genetically different clones
of neighbouring cells on a background of normal cells.
Case Report: We describe two patients with cutis tricolor following the lines of Blaschko without systemic manifestations. On examination, there was linear hypopigmentation along medial aspect
of right upper extremity and linear hyperpigmentation on the left upper extermity of both patients.
Conclusions: Cutis tricolor reflects genetic mosaicism and patients with this disorder could be associated with or without extracutaneous abnormalities. Therefore clinicians should be aware that systemic involvement may accompany to cutis tricolor.
