Abstract

Background: Exceptionally organic stenosis is an isolated defect. An organic, functional or relative acquired tricuspid stenosis can be distinguished. It is the most commonly found as a concomitant
malformation with tricuspid insufficiency and mitral stenosis, rarely with aortal defect.Case Report: A 26-year-old woman with right ventricular failure first diagnosed as myocarditis was presented. Further examination revealed tricuspid stenosis caused by chest deformation producing right ventricular inflow route compression. Surgical decompression contributed to normalization of tricuspid diastolic gradient and total disappearance of right ventricular failure. Conclusions: Chest deformation producing right ventricular inflow route compression may be one of the reasons ticuspid stenosis. Final diagnosis ought be confirm by echocardoigrphic and computer tomography. The surgical decompression of right ventricular inflow route contributed to regression of the symptomatic tricuspid stenosis and young patient full recovery.
