Non-traumatic tentorial subdural haematoma associated with meningioma

Abstract
Summary
Background: Spontaneous bleeding as a clinical manifestation of meningioma is rare.
Case report: A 32 year-old female presented with sudden headache. A right temporal mass lesion in contact with the temporo-basal dura in combination with a subdural haematoma, originating from the
mass extending to the tentorium, was found. Tumour and haematoma were removed completely followed by uneventful postoperative recovery. The histological diagnosis was angiomatous
meningioma.
Conclusions: To prevent further life threatening complications, early diagnosis by carefully inspection of imaging and prompt surgical therapy is essential.
