Abstract
Background: Glomus tumour is an uncommon vascular tumour which classically occur in the subunguam or
the digital location. A variety of unusual sites are described. It is rarely reported from the chest
wall region.
Case report: A 46 year-old male presented with a bluish red nodule in the anterior chest wall which was clinically interpreted as a haemangioma. The nodule was excised and histopathological examination
performed. Histological sections showed a tumour consisting of vascular spaces surrounded by classic glomus cells and a final diagnosis of glomus tumour was given.
Conclusions: A case of glomous tumour is reported for its occurrence at an unusual location in the anterior
chest wall.
