Background: Reconstruction of penis is one of the most difficult and technical demanding tasks that needs highly capable reconstructive plastic surgeons and a good and expert working team. Some of
these trauma are due to fighting or war trauma which are highly traumatic and total and complete
reconstruction of penis is nearly impossible.
Accidental trauma to glans and penis is a rare event, but occur more frequently in Regions that
circumcision is usually performed.
Case report: We had five patients, age range from 2 to 8 years and follow up of them was from 2 to 9 years. One of our patients was a 8-year-old boy that had traumatized penis due to a very bad circumcision.
His grandfather accidentally had cut half of the glans during a forceful traditional circumcision.
The Pedicled ventral flap was used for reconstruction of defects of distal penis and glans. In this
method distal urethra and glans can be reconstructed in a single stage.
Conclusions: Our results were good to excellent and patients now have normal urination, erection,
ejaculation, and good and acceptable cosmetic results.
We recommend this method as an alternative for repair of distal penis and glans.
