Background: Budd-Chiari syndrome is a rare congestive hepatopathy caused by the occlusion of hepatic veins. It is acute in 20% of cases, and thrombosis is the major cause of hepatic vein obstruction. No Budd-Chiari syndrome on a jugular catheter has been reported to date.
Case Report: We report the case of a BCS due to a dialysis catheter and requiring a liver transplantation with a successful outcome.
Conclusions: This is the first case of BCS due to dialysis catheter obstructing hepatic vein.
